BikeSport.TV starts

After weeks of preparation it is finally done, our portal BikeSport.TV goes online. The last days many smaller bugs have been fixed in the script. Among other things, now almost all video types can be uploaded without problems. Currently the maximum size for the upload is 200 MB, which actually for all the videos should suffice. If someone wishes once to upload bigger videos (eg HD video), so you can simply apply to the editor (info@bikesport.tv).

For the many newcomers among you, here we have a few frequent asked questions (FAQ) about our portal put together:

What is BikeSport.TV?
BikeSport.TV is an Internet video-and photo-community for all bikers, which alives of your own initiative. It is the platform from bikers for bikers. Here you have the possibility to upload your videos and photos about our well-beloved sport, view and share with friends.

Why BikeSport.TV and not Youtube (TM)?
On our site you can find  exclusively videos and photos around biking. Thus, the long search for relevant material is already deleted. Moreover, shaky cell phone videos with shrill sound  have no chance on our webside. We are reluctant to and will not offer them for viewing. Our goal is quality content, free of charge and  without advertising.  Each video you upload here could be integrated on your own webside via short code cutout. (bitte prüfen!) If you still know where your shots  were made, you can mark the location with the help of the Geotag feature of Google Maps. When playing  the  video  or displaying the photo, the location will then be shown as well.

How can I upload videos?
For this you only need to create a free account. After registering you will receive a link from us to your specified mail address . The only thing to do then is to click on this link for confirming your mail address. After that you can click on the button 'upload' in the top right for uploading a video.

Can I integrate uploaded videos on my own website?
Yes! For all web site owners videos could easily be uploaded first and then via a short code cutout, which is shown at each video, it could be integrated into the own webside. To do this you need  to click on the button 'share' in the top left for the video you would like to embed. Then different variants are shown, how you could embed this video on your webside.  This method saves space on your website and you still post your videos to the community.

Which file types are supported?
The following file types can now be uploaded: mpe mpg avi mov 3gp mpeg flv mp4 m4

What is geotagging ?
This allows  to assign the location of the video or photograph, where it was recorded. The location is then displayed in the Google Maps Plugin.

What may not be uploaded?
Among other things,  it is not allowed  to upload videos with the rights of third parties. For infringements  noted by the editorial, we reserve  the right for immediate suspension or cancellation of the respective users. Please note particular videos with background music that is liable to GEMA. This is currently not allowed to be uploaded because there is still no agreement with GEMA.
